As a consumer, you are legally obligated to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries to ensure environmentally sound disposal.   Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of in household waste, as they contain harmful substances that can damage the environment and health. To protect the environment and conserve raw materials, we ask you to observe the following information on the disposal of old batteries and rechargeable batteries:   Return options: You can hand in old batteries and rechargeable batteries free of charge at the designated collection points near you. Many cities and municipalities have appropriate collection bins or recycling centers. You are also obliged to return old batteries and rechargeable batteries when purchasing new ones in our webshop. You can either hand them in directly to us or at a suitable collection point near you. Labeling requirement: Batteries and rechargeable batteries that contain harmful substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin. Below this symbol, you will also find the chemical name of the harmful substance: "Cd" stands for cadmium "Hg" stands for mercury "Pb" stands for lead Data protection during the disposal of rechargeable batteries and batteries: Please ensure that you delete your personal data on the devices to be disposed of before handing them in.
